The Meetings of the States Parties and the Meeting of the Standing Committees of the Mine Ban Convention are public and open to the media.
The Meetings of the Standing Committees are held mid-year at the WMO Building in Geneva. The Meeting of the States Parties take place every other year at the UN in Geneva, and in between, in mine-affected countries.
Media representatives wishing to cover:
- The Meetings of the States Parties as they take place at the Palais at the UN in Geneva should be accredited through the UN Press Services in Geneva. See News & Media section. However, all information related to the Meetings, including remote media access of the Meetings, maybe requested directly to the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention.
- The Meetings of the States Parties when they take place in mine-affected countries, should directly address the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention for accreditation and information.
- The Meetings of the Standing Committees in Geneva, and who are not accredited with the UN Press Services in Geneva, should contact the Implementation Support Unit of the Convention for access, accreditation or information.
